Who is Concours John?

Concours John is the 25+ year passionate vision of John Morgan, operating a very specialized car care, restoration, and detailing business near Dayton Ohio.

John has spent his entire life caring for and restoring vehicles of all eras, shapes, sizes, and pedigrees.

He started detailing as hobby at the age of 16. In 1995 he left a career in quality assurance to work for a Concours Restoration Shop.

While his main focus was concours show prep, John closely assisted with all portions of vehicle restoration. Through these experiences he learned the in’s and out’s of all facets of restoration during the many (~ 70) restorations he assisted with. After a long period of honing his skills, amassing huge amounts of knowledge, and learning firsthand techniques from original restoration craftsmen John began logging vehicle awards in 2000.

Fast forward to 2020; John Morgan has contributed to earning 115+ awards from many significant Concours events.

These events include the Dayton Concours, Ault Park Concours, The Ferrari Nationals, Keenland Concours, French Lick Concours, many PCA (Porsche Club of America) events, the Amelia Island Concours and more!

John, his wife Kelly (who is also head over heals about cars), and their little boy Liam can be found most weekends in spring or summer at a car or concours event. Liam loves cars as much as his dad and has become a fixture at events. Many regular concours attendees constantly quiz Liam and are shocked that he can identify makes, models, and badges of many different vehicles types, vintage or contemporary. They shouldn’t be surprised– because its in his blood!
